  • Key Dates

    • November 28, 2016
      • Participants’ registration & initial refundable payment to Troop 956 ($25) is due
    • December 01, 2016
      • Troop 956 initial paperwork & down payment to the Council is due
    • February 27, 2017
      • Participants’ final commitment & 2nd payment to Troop 956 ($100) is due
    • March 01, 2017
      • Troop 956 final rosters & final payment to the Council is due
      • NOTE: This is a non-refundable cost at this point to Troop 956 and families
    • March 04, 2017
      • Motorboat Safety Course for all participants
    • April 08, 2017
      • High adventure planning meetings with Troop 956 participants
    • April 20, 2017
    • May 01, 2017
    • June 19, 2017
      • All personal gear dropped off and left at the Scout Cabin for final gear inspection
    • June 23 – July 02, 2017

      • BSA Swim Certification Test for all participants
  • Troop 1102 from Lincoln is the “Primary” Troop; Troop 956 is the “Secondary” Troop
  • Cache Lake is a High Adventure outing for the Troop
  • High Adventure Requirements

    • All Scouts must be 12 years of age or older by May 1, 2017
    • Scouts 12 years old MUST be accompanied by a parent / legal guardian
      • Scouts 13+ years old do not have to be accompanied
    • All Scouts must be First Class or higher by May 1, 2017
    • All Scouts must have attended a week-long summer camp BEFORE going on high adventure
    • All Scouts are encouraged to complete the Swimming Merit Badge prior to attending
    • All adults attending must be registered with a Troop and have completed all the minimum BSA training requirements
      • Youth Protection – required
      • Safe Swim Defense – recommended
      • Safety Afloat – recommended
      • Weather Hazards – recommended
    • All participants will complete a BSA swim certification test before the outing
    • All participants will complete a Motorboat Safety course before the outing
